Offering both Regular and Honors tracks, our program challenges advanced learners while supporting every student at his level.

Dual Credit Option

Through partnerships with local colleges, qualified students can earn between 12–18 college credits before graduation.

Our students’ average SAT scores consistently place us well above the national average, with multiple students distinguished as National Merit Finalists.

Aim: Develop strong reading, writing, and communication skills while exploring influential works from around the world.

  • On-Level – Foundational reading comprehension, literary elements, structured writing.
  • Honors – All On-Level content plus deeper literary analysis, extended essays, and advanced thematic studies.
    Core Courses: Language Arts I, Language Arts II, English Elements – Short stories (The Most Dangerous Game), The Odyssey, modern novels, American Literature – Novels, poetry, drama, and historical speeches like the Gettysburg Address.

Aim: Build analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for higher education and real-world applications.

  • On-Level – Core concepts with project-based applications.
  • Honors – All On-Level content plus abstract applications, complex problem sets, and extended projects.
    Core Courses: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, plus real-world projects such as sports statistics, drone modeling, and stock market analysis.

Aim: Explore the natural world through observation, experimentation, and analysis.

  • On-Level – Core scientific principles with labs and collaborative projects.
  • Honors – Adds advanced case studies, extended lab work, and independent research.
    Core Courses: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, plus Principles of Engineering enrichment with robotics and circuitry projects.

Aim: Understand how societies develop, function, and interact, preparing students to be informed, engaged citizens.

  • On-Level – Strong content foundation with active learning methods.
  • Honors – Adds comparative analysis, primary source evaluation, and advanced research.
    Core Courses: World Geography, World History, US History, Government, Economics, Introduction to Law.

General Studies Curriculum Overview

At Texas Torah Institute, our General Studies program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and curiosity to excel in higher education, in their careers, and in life. We combine academic rigor, hands-on learning, and individualized challenge so students graduate as confident thinkers, articulate communicators, and problem solvers prepared for the modern world.

We are accredited by Cognia and consistently receive outstanding ratings from the prestigious SACS/CASI accreditation team. Our program is guided by Texas state standards and consistently exceeds their intent — ensuring a rigorous and well-rounded academic experience — and aligns with the ACT College and Career Readiness Standards. Students are placed in Regular or Honors tracks for every subject, ensuring all learners are both supported and challenged.
